You probably are already familiar with products, such as Big Bruce burgers. We also have another Retail Store located in Owen Sound called Cottenie's Country Fresh Meats that serve only West Grey Premium Beef. Donna & Tony Cottenie manage/own this location and bring with them years of experience in the Meat & Retail business. For more information about this store scroll to the bottom of this page. Come in and see our wide selection of Fresh & Frozen Foods. We have an amazing display of fresh meat products, including all cuts of Fresh Beef, Pork, homemade pork and beef sausage. BIG BRUCE BURGERS
Our Big Bruce Burgers are available in 2, 5 & 10 lb boxes as well
as a 4 pack.
Did you know that most burger patties
that are available commercially are made with compression or extrusion
technology?
This is done to increase capacity in processing at the expense of texture
and palitability. Premium Beef uses a non compression process
resulting in a burger pattie similiar to being home made.

Eating recommends 2 to 3 servings of Meat and Alternatives each
day. A serving of lean beef is 50 to 100 grams cooked - about the
size of a deck of cards.

Shop Features West Grey Premium Beef Tony & Donna Cottenie's decision to go into business for themselves came at the same time, the owners of West Grey Premium Beef were looking for an opportunity to sell their Ontario choice premium corn fed beef in Owen Sound. A partnership was formed and a one-stop butcher shop on the city's west side is the result. Cottenie's Country Fresh Meats opened its doors June 30th, 2006. Along with Premium Beef, Ontario chicken and pork, Cottenie's have a deli counter featuring Stemmler Meats, a sandwich counter and a frozen food section and sell local lamb and turkeys if ordered in advance.
